In the concert season 2019/2020, the Moscow State Academic Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Pavel Kogan continues his famous musical anthology “Favorite Piano Concerts”. Subscription programs include the best piano concerts from the treasury of world musical culture and delight listeners with the names of outstanding pianists and conductors who have conquered the world musical Olympus. All concerts of the cycle will take place on the historical stage of the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory.
The program of the second musical evening will be compiled from the opuses of leading European symphonists of the 19th century - debut piano concerts by Ludwig van Beethoven and Antonin Dvořák. They cannot be attributed to “chrestomathic” examples in the voluminous chronicle of works for piano and orchestra. But at the same time, these masterpieces give performers more freedom of musical interpretation. The conductor of the concert will be Moscow conductor Igor Mokerov. The piano part in L. Beethoven's First Piano Concerto will be performed by a remarkable musician, a sensitive interpreter of the piano compositions of the composer, laureate of the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition - Sergey Redkin. In the second section, the Czech pianist, winner of the Queen Elizabeth Competition, Lukas Vondracek, will perform G-moll Piano Concert of the Czech composer Antonin Dvořák.
