Vienna is rightfully called the musical capital of the world. The great geniuses of classicism lived and worked here, the divine melodies of romantic composers and Johann Strauss were born, the genre of operetta flourished here. And what could be more beautiful than waiting for the New Year's celebration, surrounded by divine melodies created in this fabulous city?
On 4 January, we are pleased to invite you to the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory for the festive “Viennese” program! The concert will feature the favorite compositions of W.A. Mozart, F. Lehar, C. Gounod. Of course, the basis of the "Viennese" program will be the brilliant and enchanting melodies of Johann Strauss!
Johann Strauss, titled "Waltz King", is the creator of such masterpieces of Viennese classical operetta as "The Bat" and "The Gypsy Baron", the author of many waltzes, polkas, and marches. Our festive concert will feature his most famous waltzes and polkas: "Tales of the Vienna Woods", "On the Beautiful Blue Danube", "Spring Voices", "Kaiser Waltz", "Trick Truck", "Pizzicato", "On the Hunt", " Thunder and Lightning", "Radetzky March". The program will be performed by the Bolshoi Theater guest soloist Daria Zykova (soprano), accompanied by the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Pavel Kogan.
