On the eve of winter holidays MSSO invites listeners to the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory for movie music evenings. Masterpieces that for a long time have become something more than ordinary soundtracks will sound for you. The concert «New Year with Ennio Morricone and Nino Rota» is dedicated to the works of two of the greatest film composers. Nino Rota is author of the legendary melody from «The Godfather» and several dozens of soundtracks, winner of the Grammy Award, two Oscars and other awards. Marcello Rota, Nino's nephew, will be the conductor at the concert.

Ennio Morricone, author of more than hundred soundtracks, winner of several Oscars (including the honorary for achievements to the cinema), Golden Globe and other prestigious awards, composed music for Sergio Leone’s westerns and other cult films.

The concert program will feature immortal hits from films included in the golden fund of world cinematography: «Romeo and Juliet», «The Road», «The Godfather», «The Professional», «The Mission», «The Legend of 1900», «Once Upon a Time in the West», «Once Upon a Time in America», «The Good, the Bad and the Ugly» and other films.
