A concert in memory of the founder and permanent leader of the "Veselye Rebyata" group Pavel Slobodkin will be taking place in the Great Hall of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory. The famous work of Andrew Lloyd Webber «Requiem» will be performed by the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra and the mixed choir of the V. S. Popov Academy of Choral Art. This composition, according to A.L. Weber, became his most personal and dear work.
«Requiem», written by the composer of world-famous musicals in the academic tradition, was not accidentally chosen for the Evening of Memory, because the English composer finely combined classical and rock music in his composition. Such a combination of two art movements incredibly echoes and is so characteristic of creativity and the whole life of the outstanding musician and composer of our time Pavel Slobodkin.
The concert will be attended by the famous Dutch conductor Ernst van Tiel, as well as soloists Anna Polovinkina (soprano), Sergey Osovin (tenor), a student of the V.S. Popov Academy of Choral Art Yury Barnov (treble).
