The "small" ensemble of MSSO soloists with rich concert practice and an original approach to choosing a repertoire is a spectacular artistic phenomenon in the musical life of Moscow. There is no short timing for them - the musicians admirably cope with both the old Baroque repertoire and ultra-difficult opuses of 20th century composers. Performing in different ensembles, the artists discover for themselves and listeners the unexplored pages of chamber works by great composers, each time presenting themselves in a new role to the audience.

In the XX century, chamber music not only did not become obsolete, but also became a real conductor of bold creative ideas, a field for musical experiment. In the final concert of the subscription, the opuses of the most significant musical modernists of the last century will be performed: “Time-Measures” for Flute, Oboe, English horn, Clarinet and Bassoon by Karlheinz Stockhausen; “Gemini Variations” for Flute, Violin and Piano four hands by Benjamin Britten; “Chant de Linos” for Flute, Violin, Viola, Cello, and Harp by Andre Jolivet; Quintet for Flute, Oboe, Viola, Cello and Harp by Nino Rota; and Fifth String Quartet by Dmitri Shostakovich.
