The "small" ensemble of the MSSO soloists with rich concert practice and an original approach to choosing a repertoire is a spectacular artistic phenomenon in the musical life of Moscow. There is no short timing for them - the musicians admirably cope with both the old Baroque repertoire and ultra-difficult opuses of 20th century composers. Performing in different ensembles, the artists discover for themselves and listeners unexplored pages of chamber works by great composers, each time presenting themselves in a new role to the audience.
The premiere evening will include compositions of German romantic composers: Septet for Flute, Clarinet, Bassoon, Horn, Violin, Cello and Piano by Louis Spohr; String Quartet No. 2 in A minor by Johannes Brahms. And finally, “The Duel” by Richard Strauss for Flute, Bassoon and String Quartet - it will be a truly outstanding event, since this work was not performed before.
